Shared Fleet Pitch Day
Pitch day · Hosted by Vantage Mobility. The shared pool is 180 vans booked by the hour, and the cost that grew with it is sending somebody out between customers.
About this open call
What this event is about
Vans booked by the hour work until the handover: one customer returns a vehicle unswept, at 20 per cent charge and two streets from its bay, and the next booking starts in ten minutes. We want that turnaround handled without sending a member of staff out to every vehicle.
What we are looking for
Early-stage teams with a working product for shared-vehicle turnaround — condition capture, damage evidence, charge and parking state — that runs on the customer's own phone rather than kit we fit to every van.
Problem statements
Every unfinished handover costs a journey
A van left dirty, flat or in a loading bay ends in a staff trip across the city before the next booking can start. Those journeys, not the vehicles, are what make the pool expensive to run.
Damage arrives without an owner
A dent noticed on Tuesday sits somewhere inside four bookings, and the argument is settled from photographs taken by the two people arguing. Condition has to be captured at the handover itself, in a form the customer and the insurer both accept.
Charge and cleanliness are nobody's job
A customer who has the van for an hour has no reason to leave it swept or above 80 per cent, so the next one starts the morning hunting a charger. The return state needs to be part of the booking rather than a favour.

FAQs
Who is in the room?
The fleet operations lead, the insurer who covers the pool and the finance owner, for fifteen minutes and questions. Slides are optional; a recording of your product handling a real handover is not.
How early is too early?
Running with one customer is early enough, and we expect to be your second. A concept deck with no working handover behind it will not reach the shortlist, because the shortlist is judged on the recording.
Can the solution need something fitted to the vans?
Yes, if fitting is a one-off under twenty minutes a vehicle — tell us in the entry what it is and what it costs per van. Anything that needs a workshop visit cannot go on 40 vehicles inside the pilot.
