Offshore Wind O&M Call
Open call · Hosted by Meridian Energy. The offshore fleet is growing faster than our vessel days, so every crew transfer has to earn its weather window.
About this open call
What this event is about
Offshore maintenance runs on weather windows, and too many trips end with a technician on the platform holding the wrong part or no diagnosis at all. We want the fault named and specified before a vessel is booked.
What we are looking for
Companies with a deployed condition-monitoring, robotic inspection or maintenance-planning product that works from existing SCADA and vibration records on turbines that keep turning.
Problem statements
Trips that end without a fix
A crew transfer spends a weather window whether or not the fault is repaired. Too often the component is identified on the platform rather than on shore.
Blade inspection without a stop
Rope access means a stopped turbine and a booked team, so inspections wait for the schedule rather than the crack. We want defects found and sized while the machine is turning.
Warning time on main bearings
Our alarm thresholds tell us a main bearing is failing at about the point it fails. Six weeks of notice would move that work into a planned window with the jack-up already contracted.

FAQs
Do we get access to a turbine?
Shortlisted teams get a base visit; pilot teams get vessel days and one turbine string to instrument. Anything fixed to the tower or the nacelle clears our own approval process first.
Which data is available to entrants?
Two years of ten-minute operational data, vibration records from the monitoring system already installed, and the work-order history behind every unplanned stop.
We have only worked onshore. Is that a problem?
No, if your rotating-machinery or inspection record is real and you say plainly what changes offshore. Safety training, vessel logistics and permits are ours to arrange.
